The PROJECTOR checks of algorithms/fold-v1.md, Section 11: folds each statement with FoldKernel and compares the result with the Fact layer of the same document, at stage SEMANTIC.

The comparison is a port of the reference runner's (conformance/run.py, class Projector), so a document gets the same diagnostic codes from both, with one declared difference: the reference leaves out the derived-unit rules of Section 7.3, and this check applies them, so a statement of a derived unit whose text is only OBSERVED folds to ASSUMED Occurrences and writes bounded by PARTIAL.
